Jason and the BlogQuest – Part 1

Once upon a time there was a man named Jason, a quiet man living in the natural world, with his beautiful and loving family. When suddenly his world was shaken and his quiet life threatened. He had been told that in 104 days the evil NOWORK was coming to his village bringing devastation and hopelessness, as he always did.

But Jason couldn’t let this happen to his family, he refused to be a victim of that evil tyrant, and so he set out to do something he had never done before.

He had heard about the Cyber World and that INCOME was there; and now he desperately needed to find it, before it was too late! But how?

That was when he remembered the online tale that he had heard whispered in the village. He had heard it said that there was a special weapon, a magical, mystical tool he could use to find INCOME and defeat NOWORK. He had heard about The Power of the Blog and he badly needed it now. And he was determined to find it. And so began Jason’s quest. So began the BlogQuest…

As the evil NOWORK was getting closer, Jason realised there was no time to waste. Every night while the world slept, Jason would venture into the Cyber World to find and master the Blog and use its power to find INCOME. No, in Jason’s BlogQuest, there was no time for sleeping…

The next day, Jason set out deeper into the Cyber World, looking this way and that, searching for the secret Cyber weapon.

As luck would have it (or was it fate?), he had been given a map from a wise old Webmaster who lived in his village, a map that pointed the way to where the Power of the Blog could be found.

Night and day he had studied that map and now..lo, and behold…could it be…was this it?

Glistening in the woods from amidst the trees, sparkling and looking new and amazingly awesome…yes, it was, he had found it: Jason had found The Power of the Blog and he was more than ready to use it. Now the action was about to begin. Now he could move forward in his BlogQuest. Now he would move on to find INCOME…

Great story about Jason. It really has me smiling today.

I have recently begun to read Jason’s blog and his quest.

Jason has done a great job on his blog and is providing some really great content. I understand where he is coming from because there is a very high possibility that I will be losing my job by years end. I have a little more time than Jason.

It is great to see you supporting him on his quest.

      Hi Rick

As I said to Jason, I was just inspired to write and I didn’t hold back, stop and question it. At one point I thought he may think me a bit strange – (and he probably would be right! :)

Nonetheless, I really enjoyed both reading his fascinating journey in his own words, and translating it into fairy tale mode.
I had read his latest post – Journal #15 and had left a comment to say I would go back and read the rest – and the rest, as they say, is history.

I’m already out of work, but my husband works, and though its a close call, our heads are just above the water – as long as our feet don’t touch the ground!

Jason is on a quest to support his lovely family, and we all want him to win.

      Thanks for your comments

    Hi Jaycee,

I think you should link to the next part after each page, so readers can easily find part 2, 3, etc.

Wow! This is super creative … and a little hilarious! It reminds me of The Neverending Story and the NOTHING that threatened Fantasia. (That reminds me of the nothing that is attacking my hometown…all of the businesses disappearing…abandoned buildings…the unemployed – oops, oh that’s a tangent – sorry!)
    Anyway, great story. :)

      Hey Kiesha

Hilarious? Hilarious? Are you having a laugh?? :)

No, seriously, thank you so much for the supportive comment. Glad you enjoyed it. And I agree, Jason’s story IS symptomatic of the world we are in today. so many of us are facing the problem of unemployment and uncertainty.

So many don’t have a clue how they will make it through the current global crisis. The internet is a potential lifeline for Jason, for me, and possibly for many, many more.

      Speak soon

    Hey Jaycee,

I had read your post a couple of days back and I don´t know why I didn´t leave a comment (thought I had done so).
Anyway as always I have been enjoying your writing tremendously and in this post you share a compelling story. I love the way you support Jason´s quest and sharing this story helps all of us as I believe quite a few of us bloggers can relate to what he expierences. His blog is a great source of content and well worth checking out.

Can´t wait to read the next part.

    Mirko

P.S. I have emailed the Polish connection you established for me and it sounds really interesting. I also checked out the other German´s website, did some in-depth research on his main business model and decided not to get into deeper contact with him. But thanks again for referring us to eachother.
Will you tell some more stories from the weekend-seminar? Hope so :-)

      Hi Mirko

I’m glad you are enjoying the story – part 2 and 3 are published now, with part 4 scheduled already for next week.

And yes, I am writing some exciting posts now about the great weekend I just had at the Internet Millionaire’s Summit – a kind of Who’s Who and what Janet did next story – with pictures! Stay tuned.

ps. I hope the opportunity does work out for you as I think it will be a really good one!

      Jaycee
